Got it running nice, but if you have too many widgets, then Helix Launcher goes into a force close loop.

I love the way HL1 runs - very smooth and responsive. Can't say the same for HL2. It was quite sluggish.

ok, so i have a file called launcher2.apk

this file installs the 2.1 launcher on the droid and it's got live wallpapers too. the problem is that i don't know how to uploaded here so everyone else that wants it can have it. it has seven screens, supports wallpapers, 3d gallery, pinch to zoom, 2.1 music player... if anyone could help me on how to upload it.

it is on my hp touchsmart, under documents>downloads>launcher2.apk

how can i make it uploadable? any ideas? again it's called launcher2.apk

I NEED HELP!!! asap!! Business Trip in the morning and i don't want to have to go through restoring 7.8! I set my helixLauncher1 to 5 screens and now it won't stop force closing continuously i can't do anything but turn my phone off and on, can't stop it from force closing any ideas??

I am unrooted and currently use a themed GDE home replacement. Can I just install Helix and run that as a home instead of GDE right?

Someone check for me, because I dont remember in this or launcher2, but when rotating this helix to landscape, my backround image rotates, but it seems I get the upper half so to speak, like it isn't centered vertically.

Can anyone else compare notes on this?

not a big thin overall, but perhaps a bug that can be submitted.

I love the thing overall, went down to 5 screens from 7, as I hadn't even filled up 3 yet ... Nice that it is customizable like that.

I'm seeing the same problem with the image. Running Helix launcher on 2.0.1

Yes, I was in the same boat last week, and that's what I have done. I like Helix better than GDE because of the 4 permanent icons (I use phone, gmail, browser, maps) and better graphics rendering of the icons -- I was using GDE with the Hero theme, but the graphics were quite awful (fuzzy). I liked GDE's infinite swiping from screen to screen, but I am getting used to using double-tap on Helix to bring up the thumbnails to select a screen. Helix also seems faster and more stable than GDE, in my experience.

Oh that sounds neat. I wondered why my icons were looking a tad fuzzy, especially any custom ones I have been using. :icon_eek: I might have to switch.

Helix seemed to be way to laggy for me, uninstalled. Good ideas and features. Had pandora running in background it it would take 4-5 seconds to slide from screen 2 to screen 3.

Works great on my Droid with BB v0.8, 5 screens with lots of widgets. Did you clear your screens of all widgets,apps before you used it? I am using version 1.2A.

Why would you have to clear your screen first? The launcher starts out with all empty screens. BB v.8 isn't compatible with helix launcher, v.9 is though.
