headphones launch media....

Is it normal for the droid to start playing music when headphones are plugged in????

no. doesn't happen for me at least. what app plays the music?

Mine does if i have iphone headphones in and hold down the button for a few seconds. Pressing it operates pause/resume.

I wish it would operate voice control.

Mine does.... and I find it incredibly annoying..... I plug them in to listen to a YouTube clip and it starts the music app, thus interrupting the streaming....

And when I've forgotten that it does that and then I've left the media volume loud (like when playing through my car speakers) it blasts my ears.....

Now I have only tried this with my iPod earphones, so I can't say if its the ephones or the app.....

Anybody else?
