Seems like you may be the only one to answer this question. I have searched all over the internet to try to get a simple solution to an issue. I have the DROID BIONIC. I have been told by my car radio installer that I need to get an RCA to MICRO HDMI cable set to hook into my Pioneer AVH6300BT in order to have the capability to see what I have on my phone on my radio screen. Can you tell me WHERE I can find such a cable (POSITIVELY) so that I can avoid all the garbage on these sites that never display what they say is on there site???
Thanks in advance...
I have not seen a Micro HDMI to RCA, just HDMI to RCA. So you would have to get a HDMI Male to HDMI Female, plus the HDMI Male to Micro HDMI Male, and finally the HDMI to RCA.
Not sure if you are up for that, seems like a lot of work but that is passing the signal through three sets of wires which can't produce great results.

Sorry, Matlock, but I don't know of any cable like that.
My car was wired for an iDevice so I got dockBoss + so I could listen to and charge my phone. But I can't see any readout on the car display (couldn't with the iDevice either though)
HDMI is digital. Device that has RCA format input(s) is some type of analog. You need an active converter as this can't be accomplished with a cable adapter. In pro av, which is only products I'm familiar with, these down-converters aren't cheap. However, unless one is converting to one of the higher resolution analog formats, such as RGBHV/XGA (5 wire or HD15), the results will be mediocre at best. Suggest searching at Comprehensive Cables or Gefen, LLC. You will need a mini to full size HDMI at the input. Device will have several outputs and resolutions. Once you identify a device that will work, you may be able to locate it at Amazon or eBay. There's also the issue of audio, which is part of the digital signal passed through the mini HDMI. The converter will breakout audio. Like everything else, there's probably a lower cost box sold online. If you are going from 720p HDMI to a single RCA input (composite/NTSC video) you probably won't be happy with the results.
