Just woundering... is the HDMI cable allow you to show anything on your TV or is it like the X was and only a few things?

I have been off the forum for a long time and didnt see this question so I thought I might as well just ask.

You can choose to only view pics and vids, or chose to mirror the desktop, meaning camera screen goes to landscape view and everything you do is mirrored onto the tv. Web browsing, emails, games, whatever - its really slick. I used 'REAL HDMI' hack for the droid X and while it worked, it didn't mirror, and was cumbersome to setup and activate - this new feature is really slick.

oh... and NETFLIX

HBO Go and Hulu+ are blocked within the apps. So is Blockbuster. Its not a hardware issue

I had the hdmi issue with sound. I called Verizon and had to go to the store to get a new phone. Some of these seem to have a doa issue with the hdmi.

6ft 34AWG Standard Speed w/ Ethernet Micro-HDMI (Type D) to HDMI (Type A) Adapter Cable - Black
none.gif
The new micro-HDMI (Type D) connector is being implemented on many new portable devices including some of the hottest new smartphones. This cable provides connections between the micro connector on your portable device to the standard HDMI (Type A) connector found on most video displays allowing you to play back your high definition mobile content on your big screen HDTV. A great way to share your media experience with friends. This cable is compliant with the newest HDMI standards for High Speed transmissions and even support the Ethernet feature found on some newer devices.

Use this cable to connect your Motorola Droid X or HTC Evo!

Will this cable work on the bionic? Also, has anyone ordered from www.monoprice.com?

One thing that I wanted to add about HDMI cables, please do not get decieved into buying the super expensive 'rip-off' monster cables or any other HDMI cables that claim that they are made superior to the HDMI cable I linked from Monoprice which only costs $4.16/ea... They are 'EXACTLY' the same!! The $4 HDMI cable from Monoprice performs exactly as the $100+ Monster HDMI cable from BestBuy or such.....
