Emailed my Verison rep. Hasn't written back.

If I go to ADVANCED CALLING in settings I cannot ACTIVATE ADVANCED CALLING. I didn't think there was a charge for this. I thought this was ready to go?
Is it just not in my area?
Is there a charge?
Just curious. Wanted to try it out.

\EDIT\ OK, well there is no cost. But pretty useless right now as I know no one else that has a phone capable of doing.

Still curious why I can't enable it.

That's why I haven't even bothered to try activating it. Nobody I know is probably even aware that it exists.

Although, now that the Mrs. is using my s4, I think it is/was supposed to support it and my note 4 should, so I guess we could play around with it.

When it was introduced to the Droid Maxx, we had to login to the Verizon website and activate VoLTE on our account settings page. It is free. Then reboot the phone and the option was available on the phone. I eventually turned it off, because no one I call has it and it was a huge battery hog.

The Note 4 still doesn't support it. :( The Note Edge does, but not the Note 4. At this point it will probably come with the Lollipop update.

Thanks couldn't remember. I just know I was surprised that they said the s4 could.

I'm with @sajokaz. Only my significant other & I had phones that were capable of this feature. We played around with it for a few days and then deactivated it. We noticed significant battery drain as well and decided it wasn't worth keeping it activated at this time.
As with all new features, I'm sure future updates will improve this option, so we'll wait and revisit this feature once the bugs are worked out and it becomes more mainstream.
That said, there is a noticeable difference in voice quality, so it's future looks bright. [emoji106]
