Having An Issue With 2.1 - Come In Here

I got my update this morning. Live wallpapers are cool, but they kept freezing up on me when rotating from landscape to portrait. I was running Helixlauncher with 5 screens and have temporarily uninstalled to see if that fixes the problem. I will reinstall at some point to see if it works. Apparently, the Nexusmod live wallpaper doesn't work with either the stock browser or helix. I got force closes with both.

Nope, EarthRot and Starfield both still freeze with stock launcher.
I frequently slide out the keyboard to wake my phone, when I close the keyboard and use the phone in portrait is when the live wallpaper freezes.

I am having a bunch of issues with 2.1

1- my gmail account isnt syncing up? is there something i need to do to get it to sync auto again?

2- when i get an email or text the green led light doesnt go on anymore. how do i put that back on?

3- I lost the haptic feedback on most of the text entry areas. how do i put that back everytime i type a key?

4- finally my wife and i both have droids and we have the same stats for usage today but my battery is at 15% and hers is at 80% wth? how can that be?

My LED notifications for new texts/emails doesnt come on anymore. I'm not going to do a factory reset and lose all my info, what do I do? What is Verizon saying about this bugs?

Got 2.1 but don't know waht all has changed. Is there a place that lists all the changes? Also is there a way to just change the clock speed only? I would like the phone to run a little faster. Please advise. Thank you

OK this is starting to make me mad....my lock screen doesnt seem to work anymore..i factory reset etc. and the lock screen worked a bit but now when i wake it, there is no such lock screen seuquence.it just goes directly to the 'home' page.anyone else having this problem

Browser image quality

The only problem I have w/ the new update is when I load a page in the browser. The images load and look like they used to (excellent quality) but when I start to move around the page the images become pixelated and poor quality. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Or anyone know of some obvious fix I've overlooked. I've tried turning it off, taking out the battery, and clearing the cache. Thnx in advance.

In reply to the OP, I found that the call clarity is much improved. It is both clearer and louder than before the update.

If you are talking about the led not illuminating while the screen is on thats a normal "feature" of 2.1.

If the led doesn't notify you while the sceen is off then you have an issue.

Uninstall and Reinstall Swype and it will work fine.

1. Why does it always try to mount and dismount the SD Card everytime on startup and shutdown? Is this normal
2. Anybody know why it would start in locked mode (where you have to input your pattern) on a startup?

Bought my droid around end of January this year, if that helps.

well. for 1: when you start the phone the sd card needs to be mounted/or able to be read/write. its the same as when you use the usb and unplug it.

2: why wouldnt it? its so no one, unauthorized, can access your phone. that means all the time. i dont see the point why it would just be the normal lock screen when it comes on if you have the lock pattern....

Thanks for the help blitzburgh. I did notice though on startup the Sd card is taking longer to load and unload. Thing is, I don't have that much on my card. The other one about the lock screen coming up on 2.1 is that on 2.0 it never came up on start up. If this was a fix they implemented, that's cool.

LED issue

I noticed that after I updated my Droid to 2.1 (non-rooted) my LED notification stops blinking after I unlock the phone. I liked how it would continue to blink until I pulled down the notification bar. That way I can check to see if it's a TXT or email. Does anyone know a way to change it back?

picture quality

I've noticed lower quality in pics when viewing them in the updated gallerey. Took some pics right before the update and viewed them in old gallery. My wife even commented on how good the pics looked. Viewed same pics in new gallery and the quality isn't there. Anyone else notice this?
