First off my main issue is my battery life has gone to **** since 2.2. I was getting 24+hrs before, now im barely getting 15 again.. I noticed some things, first off why the **** do programs auto restart when you end task them! If I end task everything, the yahoo mail and browser will still restart and be on the same page or same message I was just reading if I go back to them, aka it doesn't seem to be END TASKING the programs. **** keeps running in the background when it shouldn't be after I end tasked it!

TXT msges... now this annoys me alot, they don't appear in the order you receive, it's like randomize. WHO THE HELL WOULD THINK THIS IS A GOOD IDEA?? Is there some way to organize it by oh idk.. THE DATE RECEIVED.

The only cool thing about 2.2 is the flash... thats it. Anyone know how to fix these issues?

Quit worrying about killing the tasks, You are causing more problems.....

How is that causing more problems? You can't kill any tasks so they keep restarting and running the damn background killing battery life. This is only with 2.2 it seems with everyone

Ok but I know for a fact since the 2.2 update and my task killer not working my battery life has dropped 10hrs. So obviously task killers work in saving battery.. just cause they arent working correctly on 2.2 it's making them do nothing

The task killer is whats causing your problem. Uninstall it and see how it goes for a few days.

Alright ill try that, but I don't understand how that can be causing a problem when it's just trying to close programs that ARE

Check to make sure your battery mode settings are the same.

In 2.1 I ended up putting my battery manager settings to Maximum Battery Saver to get a full day of use. 2.2 automatically switched my phone to the newly named Nighttime saver. It doesn't last quite as long as 2.1 did, but it still lasts me the day so I've stayed there. I like the snappier response.

Yea I changed it up to the maxium battery saver thing. All I know is I was fine in 2.1 and getting over a day of battery, now I get like 10-15hrs

My battery life has been a hell of alot better with 2.2, with using it durring my breaks and my whole lunch at work, playing games, downloading files, going to websites, and using flash, by the end of the day I'm at 50% battery.

on 2.1 I would have been dead.

Well idk how. Nothing has changed on my phone since 2.1 and my battery went to ****

Yea.. I removed the task killer for a few hours and it went from 80% to 40% within the 2 hours or so. So um no YOU NEED A TASK KILLER

If you think you need a task killer you obviously do not know what you are doing on your phone.

Simply put: use an app killer if u want to save 2% battery and mess up ur phone. This is Linux guys not windows you need to get out of the mentality of killing apps to free up memory. Android controls what needs to remain in memory. Sure reps will tell u to use it and that's cause they have no idea what they are talking about they sell u phones and convince u its good. Stop basing your opinions on lack of knowledge
