you can turn off all the haptic feedback that you're allowed to in the sound settings but that still leaves haptic feedback on the lockscreen. I wish you could at.least change the power of the vibration .. I prefer the Droid 1's vibration over the x. :(

tapped on my LibX 1.5

I very much dislike haptic feedback. Hopefully there's an option to disable it completely without affecting silence/vibrate on the next update.

by making changes at framework-res.apk in /system/framework/ u can turn those annoying vibrate feedbacks off without influencing normal vibrate fuctions.
i turned the unlock slide vibrate off and made the 4 virtual key vibrate a bit weaker.

Do you have instructions of how to do this? Does the phone need to be rooted first in order to modify the framework-res.apk?

Yes. the phone needs to be rooted to alter framework
