Handcent Problem

Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem and if so, what they did to fix it. When i get a message and use the "quick reply" option, i'll get about half way through typing my text and sometimes my screen will lock. I'll unlock it and when i go to continue my message, none of the letters i type or delete will register on the screen. If i pay close attention to what im typing and then send it, the entire message will send but what i type still won't show up on my screen until i kill the app and restart it. Thanks for any help you can give. I emailed the person that developed it and no response.

I've been having it using ShapeWriter if that matters my screen won't lock but on quick reply ill type sometimes and nothing will register
