Group conversations / texting gone?

On my S6 I was able to send texts as group messages OR click a box next to the text message to change it to send a mass text to individuals. Is there anyway to that on the s8?
There is groups in the contacts app but that's a pain in the ass and doesn't let me send the mass text to individuals?

Not sure if this works the same as the Note 5 but worth a try...

Select the text icon in lower right corner.

On the next screen, select the contacts you would like to include in your group message, then select compose.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. But it didn't work. It automatically converts it to a multimedia message and doesn't give me a choice.Thank you anyway. Hopefully somebody else knows how to do it.

Well see if this works what your looking for.....start with hitting bottom to start a new conversation...like the previous person posted.

Then hit this button
In the pic then chose your peeps you want to text then hit the compose button at the top right.

Still nothing. Can you get it to work on your S8? This is frustrating. I want to send a picture to a group but want it Sent as individual message.

I think group texts are usually sent as a mms, but don't quote me on that.

Still nothing. Can you get it to work on your S8? This is frustrating. I want to send a picture to a group but want it Sent as individual message.

Pictures can only be sent as mms (multimedia message). Not sure if the above methods will work to have it sent to each person in the group individually. I'll have to experiment.

mine didn't say that message so i wasn't sure if that was what the OP was wanting.
Sweet learn something new everyday......lol

I did everything above and still nothing. That group conversation box doesn't come up for me - it used to on my S6

I did everything above and still nothing. That group conversation box doesn't come up for me - it used to on my S6

You have to first follow the steps in the post above to get to the screen that allows you to select or deselect group conversation. Hopefully the s8 works the same.

I followed all the steps above, but that damn select group conversation still wont show up.
