Well here I am. I got a Droid the week it came out, haven't needed to bring my laptop places since. Recently I got sick of waiting for the official 2.1 update so I followed a guide on here, the phone is now happily running the latest Bugless Beast with busybox and the updated text messaging app that lets you configure the LED color and such.
So thanks to the people who take the time to write those guides, you make an excellent phone even more useful. I'll probably try my hand at developing an app in my spare time...
