Gray question mark at start up

HELP PLEASE! I plugged in my Droid 2 to charge and now it will not even turn on. A grayed out question mark appears at start up where it usually tells me what the battery level is then the phone will typically start up. It turns on for a minute then shuts off. I have left it charging to see what happens and still the question mark. Any advice?

i think that means there's something wrong with your battery. i would leave it off and charge it overnight and if it still won't turn on then bring it to vzw tomorrow to get a new battery.
