GPS Volume way low?

so i plug my phone in via AUX jack to play the GPS voice over my truck's speakers. but since the ICS OTA the volume has been really low. low to the point that to hear it i either have to jack my stereo way up or just unplug it and use the phones speaker. and since i let it play music on it too (cause it lowers the music volume when gps goes to say somethin)... that blasts me out.

so is there a way to turn the volume up more on just the gps?
