Gps on Droid 2 staying on constantly.

Gps icon stays on in the notification bar constantly. Does anyone know of a fix for this? It's happening on Droid 2. Turning off gps doesn't really seem like a fix to me.

So you've tried going into the navigation pressing menu, then pressing exit navigation?

If that doesnt work, You could force stop it and wipe its data in settings>applications>manage applications. I think you would look for maps though because its part of google maps

Tb I took your advice a little further and cleared data on all apps that use gps. Seems to have worked. Thank you and the others who gave advice. Much appreciated.

The latest version of shopkick was keeping mine on. Sent them an email but never heard back so I uninstalled it and haven'thad the issue since.
