Google Pushing Android 2.2 (Froyo) To Some Droid Users

The article is based on the Rooted version that was recently made available. To install this, you'll need to be rooted.
Sorry to throw a wrench in the works for all the non-rooted community.

As for the Music streaming, I have read a lot of forums but no one has been talking about that capability.

2.1 was pushed to the Droid via a Google repository.

The N1 and the Droid are the 2 Android phones that "just works" with Google releases. While Motorola and Verizon could add software to the final build, they're not going to.

2.2 isn't going to make the Android OS any less baffling and unpredictable.

You find the Droid baffling and unpredictable?

Are you still in your 30 days? Because you do have 30 days to decided whether or not you wanted to keep your Droid. If you didn't return it in that time period then it's kind of on you.

If you need help figuring something out however, that's what we are here for.

He's wrong too. You don't have to root first.

Are you saying there is a way to go from stock 2.1 to FroYo without rooting? If so, please point me in that direction.
