Google now troubles

I went into the settings and turned off a bunch of stuff. This freaking Google now crap keeps popping up at random times. Even though I turned everything there is off.

What's the next step? Should i just remove all the bloat? Ever since that Google now crap hit my RAZR Max, its been acting weird and a lot slower.

What should I do?

Reset your phone. I do same periodically to speed performance and generally fool around with new combinations.

Yeah I also do that. But after a little while it comes back again
