I visited a friend of mine last week and he told me that if I installed google music, I could upload & stream music from my computer to phone from anywhere with a data connection (3G,4G, Wifi, whatever) can someone show me how?

you upload your music via google music uploader. When you use the google music app, the music tied to your account can stream on your phone. I believe you can access your music from another computer by just going to the website as well.

They may have been referencing MotoCast as well - MotoCast is software that installs on your computer / laptop and you sync it with your phone which allows you to share music, files, photos, etc from your com / laptop (as long as it is powered on and connected to a network connection) to your phone.

I am not sure that MotoCast is available for all Moto phones...

Google Music is my favorite tho as it is not dependent on my computer being turned on however it only works for music ...
