I tried to use google navigation and it freezes when "searching for gps", already installed an update but still not working, any suggestions?

Maybe try a total uninstall and reinstall from the market. Have you tried a battery pull?

Sounds like the receiver is having problems getting a fix. Turn GPS off and then back on. If that doesn't help, power cycle the Droid. If that doesn't help, try dialing *228 and selecting option 1.
