Uhhhhh... healthstore58, I'm not sure if you are allowed to advertise those types of products here. And the post certainly has no point to a smart home discussion. And posting your email is not cool.

it was disappointing that amazon disable the uploading of music. they are in the business to sell and I guess they were not selling enough music :-( there is a service called plex where you can still listen to your own much on your dots.

I'm admittedly going to be a little annoyed if I switched over to Google Home for no good reason, but I guess that would be on me for not having researched as thoroughly as I might have. :p

you can do all the research you want but it is still easy to miss the small things. besides in this case, most users got their echo before amazon discontinued their service. You just never know when something is going to change after the fact.

I read an article the other day about google might be doing away with their google play music. don't know how that will affect google home

Well, it would certainly be fun to switch from one because it canceled a service to the other only to have it cancel the same service.

Is there a "dislike" option? :p

Looks like to use Plex with Echo you have to subscribe to at least a $4.99/month plan. Irksome.

I had a friend suggest Emby as well, but same issue. There's a lot you can do for free, but running music through Echo/Google Home isn't among that. Vexing.
