Google Home vs Amazon Echo?

Definitely more limiting than the Echo, but I'm sure they'll catch up eventually. Amazon has had a major head start so it'll take time.

As far as music services and multi user support it is more limited at this point. I do hope that Google takes this device serious and provides useful updates. If you have a paid Play Music subscription, like I do, then it's worth the money in my opinion.

Play music FTW... I love the Google Play subscription. My sister has the Echo... it's neat I just don't see the need for one in our house yet.

It's nice if you want to make a voice driven smart home, if you simply want to talk to a device and get answers, the echo dot is cheaper, but, Amazon prime is required.
Echo works my lights, fans and Ecobee thermostat, soon the TV too with the Amazon Fire stick.

One of the things I just learned about the recent Home update is the new Services section within the Home app. You can now link things like your Domino's account (just one example) to your Google account and order a pizza hands free using the Home. Just what we needed.
