google calendar and tasks

My wife just started using the google calendar feature and loves it but on her computer she can set tasks but they never show up on the Droid, why is that?

This has happened to me. It seems that when you click on "New Event" it only let you bane it at first. Once you click off that it automatically syncs just that part. By the time you edit the event you just created to add times, more details, etc it has already put the earlier part on your phone.

To get by this I have been creating a new event with all the detail first that way when your done it only syncs one event. I think once it syncs the first event even after you edit it, it still recognizes as the same event and does not edit the information to your phone.

Hope this helps

Need to install the gTasks app. It will run outside of the Calendar app on the Droid but does sync your tasks and works fine.

Yes, it's in the market. Since it's a separate app and runs outside of the calendar app, yes you will need to open the gtasks app to view/edit your tasks. I would rather see this incorporated into the calendar app, but for now it's something that works. The gtasks app is beta so there will be improvements to it.

I am pretty disapointed in google for not integrating the tasks in their calendar app. The tasks are the best part of there desktop version
