Google Account Problems

I just got a new Droid X2 about a month ago and it never lets me add a google account so that I'm able to use the app market.

Whenever i type in my existing google log-in information it tells me its not correct after trying to validate for a few seconds. I've checked the log-in information I'm providing and it matches what I use to access it on my computer.

When I tried to create a new account to alleviate the problem, it gets as far as asking me for a security question before the "next" button at the bottom doesn't allow me to continue (it just goes gray).

Has anyone else had this problem? Or does anyone have any idea why it might be doing this (or how to fix it)?

Its beyond frustrating me. -_-;

Just curious when your say a new dx2, was it a new one or referb from Verizon or did you buy it from someone and it is just new to you? If you have had it for a month, did you not have to sign in with Google to get started? Does everything else work like internet access?

I don't know if referbs have a warranty but if so that may be one route you can take. If you got it from Verizon see if they will replace it.

Of course, you can try a factory reset first just to clean it up again and make sure it does not work. It could be one of those mysteries that fixes itself with a reset or it could be a bug/bad phone.

If you bought it from someone like a private seller or if there is no warranty and you cannot replace it, you can try to sbf.

If you are new to droids and don't know what sbf is, you can always try the other options first and as a last resort come back on here and you can get help with the steps you need to take for the sbf.

Of course, this is just off the top of my head without ever actually having that problem so perhaps someone else has better insight or an easier fix.
