Good Notes App?

I have used Color Note for a couple of years. I love its functionality and simplicity. BUT, I have lost some good stuff after hard resets or device damage. Is there a good notes app that backs up somewhere (Google?) and syncs across devices?

Evernote.
I have it on my Droid3, Kindle Fire, home laptop and work Pc.
Syncs between them all.
Active support with updates from developer.
