My guess is no. Motor and vzw now have to make it for the Droid. You know how long 2.1 took

On Engadget I thought I saw a comment from Senjay saying that the X and original Droid would both get Froyo at the same time.

Can't wait to see what all our awesome devs are going to come up with now that the official source code is out!!! Should be a great weekend for us Rooted users!!!

Wow... um. The version of Froyo we are running on our rooted Droids now is a leaked release candidate that Motorola has already been working on. The AOSP just means that the source code is now available for a full AOSP build, code inspection, etc.... That is what is really exciting!
