Go FROYO - Source Released

Waiting for TC to get a hold of this.. who will be first to push out rom on the source??

Only a few people can push a ROM out in less than 24 hours.

Cyanogen, Koush, and ChevyNo1 would be my first picks.

Team Chaos, Pl3x, and CVSP probably needs 48 hours.

Peter and Blackdroid have to wait till someone pushes a ROM for them to reroll and theme.

that was my thought almost exactly but i thought TC would be in the 24hr catagory

Adrynalyne tends not to rush things, which is why I am a fan of his work.

since this is out will someone be able to make a widget to have a lock screen (pin, pattern, or password) because nothing works on 2.2 but i understand why. its kinda annoying to have to go into settings everytime i want to put a lock on my phone

cyanogen could care less when he gets his rom out, he wants it done correctly.
koush has to wait for cyanogen.

Great news. Wish I wasn't at work or I would be syncing right now. Just getting the right proprietary files and hopefully not getting too many errors compiling and I can get a stock build hopefully soon.

Woot looking forward to it Jrummy! dancedroid

True he wont release anything that does not work.. i will wait for him to release even if it takes a week.. been running there roms for a while now and will continue as long as he makes them..

I would not expect a CM version of Froyo by the end of this week. Maybe next week or at least the end of this month... but he takes his time. Not to mention Koush has to wait for CM6 so that he can then port it over.

yep, cyanogen cares more about quality then getting things out there quickly.

Does anyone have good links on how to download and build this yourself?
I mean step by step and not ones that leave out steps they think you already know.
I know how to build proper debian packages and a Linux distro on a live CD.
I just want to tinker around a bit with it.
Any ones that tell you have to build your own kernel for the Motorola Droid would be nice too.

Thanks in advance.
