Come on Google seriously... why in the h&!! is there no widget for gMail yet... There's one for GV and several other email programs have them... Get off your A$$!!!!!

And NO to anyone tempted I'm not interested in a 3rd party app/widget, this should be built in as it is with GV.

Have you tried Pure messenger widget ?
I works fine with Gmail and K9ForPure :

I heard that LauncherPro is working on a widget for GMail. I also heard that it was suppose to be released by this week.
