Global?

So, the Dinc 2 is a Global phone... If the Girlfriend was going to go up to Canada for a couple days, is there anything special we have to do for her phone to work while she is up there to text, or send pictures?
We are at the bottom of Washington State... I get that Canada is another Country and all, even though its only like 6 hours North...
