Gingerbread on the D2

The best picture app I found is called quick pic. It is simple and fast. You can find it in the market

i am looking to update to the leaked gingerbread ROM, but my biggest concern is data, with using the bootstrap, and successfully completing the update the first time, will i lose my data? (not a huge deal, just a lot of apps... titanium backup?) thanks

I totally agree. I have had the 3d gallery and several others but Quick Pic is amazing. It is so fast it's almost unbelievable. And very user friendly.

titanium backup for the win.

I would be willing to assist you. There is a specific way I do things with Titanium to avoid the bootloops and so on.

my largest issue is the fact that if i brick my phone, i cannot afford another one, but the help is much appreciated, basically i need to convince myself that doing this is worth it...

You can always just use rsd to get back to stock. I wouldn't be too worried about bricking. Just follow the instructions and you should be all good.

a couple more questions...

i have rooted my droid before using a windows app, (not doroot) and i tried using z4 and it would only freeze the phone and id have to restart it... i know i need to root to ROM or even backup...

anyone have a good link for the d2 gingerbread leak?

Team Black Hat. You should be able to find it in the market. Try restarting the phone before doing z4root. That might help.
