Gingerbread based roms?

Now that gingerbread has been leaked and rooted for the droid 2, will devs be able to finally make gingerbread based roms? I like the new blur interface in the gingerbread version but would definitely prefer stock gingerbread over it. Anyone have any info on this topic?

Yes, that's the plan! JRummy recently tweeted that he will begin working on a Gingerbread-based Liberty soon. AngDroid said before that he was holding out on Fission updates until Gingerbread came out.

the droid 2 global gb leak is coming soon. i'm certain that the grd dev team will keep up what they've been doing.
