Gingerbread 2.3.5 unlock lag question please help

Anyone experience a lag when unlocking the lock screen sometimes? Can we fix this?

Some things to try:
- clear system cache partition
- use another home launcher. I like ADW, free from market
- try using the auto memory app discussed here: https://supportforums.motorola.com/message/458810#458810
