Getting emails faster & how to quicken a long press...

How do you get emails to come in faster or pushed, and, how can I get the punctuation to type faster without having to press so long on the corresponding letter....?... I remember seeing both in Settings but can no longer, for the life of me, find hem again....

Gmail is fastest push always instant ..you can set up other emails to flow thru gmail ..I only use swiftkey keyboard ..best IMO..
