GB Camcorder Inop

Comes up but when hit red button to start record it goes to home screen. Ideas? Tx!

Mine did the same exact thing starting yesterday... I pulled battery and rebooted and it seems to be fixed. Now if I can only figure out how to silence the "ding" when I hit the red button to record!
