Free texting app

I was wondering if anyone had a good free texting app that they use so they don't get charged for texts on their plan. I saw there are a few apps but I was wondering what ones were worth checking out. Thanks in advance!

Text plus is good if you don't want to get charged...it just uses data/Wi-Fi to send and receive. I know a few ppl who use it because they don't have unlimited texting
