Wow, thanks for this. We can't get anything but cable inet (from a company that incorrectly processed a 45 dollar payment as 450.00 and took over 8 months to refund it all, so clearly will not get my business again) so this will help out w/ homework and the occasional netflix for the kiddos.

Awesome post

How does data usage work with this? Just as if u weren't tethering?

Use at your own risk!

I just know it works without getting redirected to the Verizon page to purchase Tethering. Verizon may catch on or may not. It seems to trick the network into thinking tethering data is actually coming from your phone.

This post may get deleted btw, because its content includes getting a paid service for free. Sorry moderators in advance.

I'm now having problems with the hotspot. When turned on, the connected device has access but not my phone. Even after reverting the Dun settings back to normal and just having the hotspot on causes the phones data to not work. Is anyone experiencing this?

Data on the phone doesn't work for me while hotspot is on, but hotspot works for connected devices

Alright, you guys and girls... let's use your brains....

If you add [yournumber] to the login in both spots, don't you think that Verizon, after all their updating for digital EID lockdown, is really going to make that big of a difference?

Do some research...

PDA.Net... Yes it's a usb cable, but it's free!

You can then share your internet from the lappy or desktop to a wireless router as an even better Hotspot... [hint, hint] Holler at me for help.

Happy tethering!
