Is FoxFi non functional on the Note4? How about usb tethered pdanet?

Android 5.0.1 shown on the Note 4 Note Edge and S5 LTE-A - GSMArena.com news

The Comments ^^ seem to indicate it does. Although comments elsewhere talk of horribly slow speeds and it only working for verizon (phew)?
