Ford Synch problems.

I have a new Fascinate, (Verizon) and could not find a method to pair the phone with my Escapes Synch system, which worked well with the older Razor phone, now deactivated.

I followed the Synch instructions for pairing a new smartphone and got as far as Synch providing a new device PIN. I could not find under Accounts & Synch a place to enter the Ford Synch PIN.

Advice will be appreciated!!

You need to go into wireless & networks in settings and then choose bluetooth settings. Make sure bluetooth is on and check the visible box. Then hit scan devices. SYNC should show up.

When it gives you a 6 digit code to use...Droid uses 4. Hit the vol up+ on the steering wheel and you should get a 4 digit.

That far I got.

Bluetooth was enabled, and did get a PIN. However I could not find where in the Fascinates Accounts & Synch setting the place to enter the PIN in order to pair the smartphone.

Any more advice?

Thanks!

You don't put the number synch gives you in the accounts and settings menu. When it connects in the bluetooth menu, a little box pops up for the pin number. Its really simple, you'll be surprised how easy it is.

we had no trouble pairing our phone to my wife's new car but we can't seem to get the contact list over to the car. any suggestions?

Yeah, you just need to hit the phone button on the dash, scroll until it says phonebook or contacts, then hit ok and then hit settings. There should be an option to download contacts.
