Flashlight Funk

So I have to park along side my house and walk around the back, in the dark, when i get out of work.... I find the Flashlight app rather handy for this situation and use it daily.
I've noticed that after about 10 seconds the light goes dimmer... then bright again... then dim... then bright... then sort of strobe bright dim bright dim scenario....
What could cause this?!

Im on DX rooted tbh gb... running v6 supercharged #4 (balanced 1)

any thoughts?! why do i get the disco lights?!


also (maybe another thread) why cant i start a thread on the droidforums app/widget? any help there would save me alot of time

What flashlight app are you using? I use Droidlight by Motorola and have had no issues.

It's just called Flashlight. I like it because I can just press the widget on my homescreen to turn it on/off... No need to scroll or look for it.
Still I'm curious as to why it would strobe.

Edit: just tried the one you mentioned and another called Android Light... Neither have the functionality I described earlier. Just wanna hit that button once on/off from the home screen when I get outta my car without wanting to dance after 10 secs... boom sst boom sst boom sst boom sst
