Android Oreo is now available for some Pixel and Nexus device. It has also already seen a root method. Now Chainfire has released a version of FlashFire that works on Android Oreo. Once you are rooted you can use FlashFire to flash roms and other mods without actually having to replace your stock recovery with a custom recovery. You can actually flash firmware directly from your phone's OS. The update is currently rolling out via the Google Play Store.
