This may be a dumb question but couldn't you if ur Droid wouldn't do anything but show a M and not be able to get to clockwork or just regularly turn on make ur phone unbricked by powering on and holding up on the dpad and use a computer and get it to go back to before 2.1 because that's how I rooted my phone and wouldn't that work if u couldn't do anything even after battery pulls? Sorry for my long run on sentence I'm really tired

No idea what you said. I can help you but can you be more descriptive and use punctuation please?

If after battery pulls u cannot get to the home screen 'like if it just keeps showing M' and u can't get into recovery, by holding power and x, could you use the bootloader by holding power and up on the droids physical keyboard, and then recover it to before 2.1, 'like the way that you have to do if u upgraded to 2.1 and then wanted to root it'

If you cant get into reovery, then using an sbf would be the next step.

if you see the "M" you're not bricked. And yes, flashing an sbf will fix that
