First non-Pixel phone to get 8.1? Essential.

If you've been following the Essential phone at all you know that they did start to roll out 8.0. Apparently 8.0 brought some instability issues to the phone. They never said what specifically was not stable on the phone but they did pause the update. Today they have announced an 8.1 Beta is rolling out to the Essential. They've also Tweeted that included in this update is a fix for the 'slow scrolling jitter'.
Anyone else find it odd Essential has stability issues with 8.0 then Samsung has rebooting issues with it?

at least this phone is still being updated, in spite of the sales numbers. better than the other companies..

The sales of the phone may be a "failure" in any case updates still showed a great reactivity of the essential and it's a success ... It is a good thing for the future of the brand, it does not let her customers down. Version 2 of the phone (if there is one) will sell better with this.
