Took me a solid 10 hours to do so but was finally able to sbf....turned out i was doing everything right but there was something up with the file. Got a different file and was able to sbf and the d2g is working fine. Thanks to a lot of help from the people in here. Thank you all...

Can you please share SBF file. I am trying to flash my d2h but could not find any valid sbf.
VRZ_A955_2.3.20.zip (241.81 MB) this is the file name i used....downloaded from multiupload.com....it was the only one that worked....went through about 5 others before i found it. This should work for you...dont know if it makes a difference but i used rsdlite version 4.9....hope this helps.
You can one click root/unroot the OTA now. do a TiBu and sbf, update and root... and be joyous!
SBF failed with critical error with this file. I guess it is due to the fact that this SBF file is for A955 model where as D2G is A956 model

That's for the D2 not the D2G. You'll be lucky if you didn't just make yourself an expensive paperweight.
