FDR on ICS?

Running the 230 leak. Over the weekend I had some issues and I considered doing an FDR. That gave me pause for thought...what happens if I do that. Will it FDR back to my ICS version or will it blow up and fill the room with smoke? It turned out I didn't need to do an FDR and I got it straightened out but now I am curious. I am thinking an FDR would be bad and if I need to do that I should RSD or pathsaver back to keep things straight.

Doing a FDR isn't bad if your phone is having any number of issues. In fact, it's often a highly recommended way of correcting many problems. Nothing negative will happen besides the loss of your apps and personal information (the same outcome with RSD). And once a new update is installed, doing a FDR will result in a clean install of the most recent update. So, if you have ICS installed, a factory update will give you a phone with a clean install of that ICS version.
