Fast switching to vibrate mode

I am new to this forum, but not android. I am looking for a way to switch to vibrate mode quickly such as when I am in a meeting. Any ideas?

either just unlock phone and hold vol. rocker all the way down for a few seconds..
or
there are many apps that give you a *vibrate* widget on your homepage and you just tap it and it should send your phone into vibrate mode..
search vibrate widget . there are some free ones you can try out.
or beautiful widgets i think comes with one also. (along with a lot of other great widgets and weather stuff)
