Fast Battery Depletion

I have another question. Lately, since I rooted my phone, downloaded some stuff and messed around with it for a bit, I've been noticing my battery depleting freakishly fast. I'm wondering what possible things can be causing this problem? I'm using Tazz Vanilla on Cynogen Mod or what ever.

Dude it could be any one, or number of different things you have installed on your phone. Impossible to guess without knowing what all is on your phone.

you have any apps that use automatic updating or GPS?

did you overclock it?

1. If you have a Task Killer installed get rid of it. That is probably a big part of the problem.

2. Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Battery Usage. It will tell you what is using most of your battery life.

It says my "display" is using 71% of it. How do I stop that?

Do you have brightness up very high or a live wallpaper?

I turned my brightness down all the way and it only went down 1%. And I have no live wallpaper.
