Family Locator not supported?

Had to take back my android phones. I had upgraded with the idea that we would still have Verizon Family Locator on my daughter's phone. It wouldn't load.

So we took them back to verizon and they now say Family Locator is not supported on any Droid phone.

True or BS?

Sprint's website say all their phones except old ones support their FL.

Are they right or not?

There are other ways to Locate, EG Google Latitude...and that's free.

But family Locator is not supported on advanced devices, with the expection of maybe some blackberries.

Thank you for your responses. It's too bad the Verizon sales people didn't know this. It was a very painful experience. According to Sprint's website, they support Sprint Family Locator on all their phones but the old ones... A coworker was just telling me that her Mom located her on her droid just the other day,using Sprint Family Locator. So, soon it will be bye bye Verizon, if I can confirm that their current androids or any touch screen with a full qwerty have that feature.
