Factory Reset Fun

So my phone is stuck on the droid redeye screen while powering on, and I have a few questions about the factory reset. I'm getting a new phone tomorrow, and I was wondering about texts. I'm a very anxious person, and lets say I am getting texts right now. So I haven't opened them, or even delivered to me (I think), so if I do a full factory reset, would I be able to get those texts? Would I receive them?

Also, if I didn't do the factory reset but got a new phone, would I receive those texts on the new phone? Someone please reply I need this, thanks.

If you're phone is stuck in a bootloop and never gets to the home screen then your phone shouldn't be on the network. As such, all messages are stuck in the queue, waiting to be delivered to your phone. You should get them shortly after signing onto your new phone when you activate it.
