factory apps

How do i or can i erase some apps that were factory installed (city id, facebook ect) from my phone i've tried dragging it to the trash but that wont work and they don't come up in the app setting to erase them. Any ideas thanks

You have to be rooted

search the site for bloatware, you'll find some good instructions.
Basically:
You need to root phone.
You need a way to have r/w permissions for the system/app directory, I use Root Explorer.
Change certain APK files to be BAK files.
Reboot.
Done.

when searching for bloatware, pay particular attention to which files you can rename, and which ones you should leave alone.
