facebook app vs. visiting their mobile web site

I'm new to droid and smart phones for that matter. I have a Droid X and have the facebook app installed. I've noticed a few differences when I use the app and when I visit facebook on my browser.

Is there a resource to list these differences for comparison? Does anyone prefer the app over visiting the site or vice versa?

Agreed, I switch between to two. Really wish the app would step it up :/

I like the app. I notice some problems with notifications and I wish that in photo albums they had the amount of.comments and the caption below.

I'vee noticed the same thing between the ebay app and ebay's mobile site. I sell frequently and it appears the mobile site provides more info for me personally.

Have mobile sites stepped up recently? Where will this leave apps as they move forward?

Sometimes I have problems with scrolling on the mobil site.
Anyone else have this problem.
Only facebook, no other sites do this to me.
