extra home screens, can't delete them

As stated above, I havce 3 extra home screens and can't delete them. If I make the screen smaller and drag to the trash can (it even turn red at top of page) they won't delete... Rebooted and they are still there...
Anyone???

Tried it again and they did delete... Who knows for sure... I did get rid of them!
