Eris not turinng on all the way

I was on the internet on my Eris last night, and it froze so I took out the battery to restart it. Well when I turned it back on, it goes to the skating droids and doesnt do anything else, like dim or go to the next opening screens. what do I need to do?

well ,nevermind. took it to Verizon and they ordered me a new Eris under warranty and I am stuck with my sister's old HTC Touch till monday, but its not that bad of a phone
